The route covers a trail that runs through the basin that connects the FGC (Catalan Government Railway) station known as “Baixador de Vallvidrera” with the Information Centre.
The adapted route has two different sections. The first, marked in Braille for the blind, sets out from the path that links Baixador de Vallvidrera to Font Nova, which allows people with reduced mobility to delve into the depths of the forest via public transport. The second runs from Vil•la Joana, where the Verdaguer Museum is located, to the “Taula dels bisbes” (bishops’ table), which is only accessible to blind and visually impaired visitors.
The route’s paving is made of a stabilised material; certain parts have a surface made of wood and recycled, natural and organic materials, apt for all types of users. Ramps and galvanised steel rails have been installed for the safety and orientation of people with visual impairments. Braille adapted information panels on the route have been erected and, in addition to guiding the user, describe the flora and fauna of the area as well as its architectural heritage, while also indicating the degree of accessibility of each section.
