A universal heritage. The Montseny, biosphere reserve, is a mosaic of Mediterranean and Central European landscapes located next to large urban conurbations. Its extraordinary biodiversity and the cultural imprint left by humans over time afford a universal value that has inspired artists, intellectuals and scientists, and stirs the emotions of those that set eyes on the reserve.
The adapted Santa Fe route sets out from the park information centre at Can Casades. Once beyond the grounds, it descends towards the Santa Fe stream (which is almost always dry), which it crosses; it then continues westward, heading up the Can Lleonart path. On arrival at the Cal Trompo path, the route crosses it and skirts the Santa Fe stream to get to the Font del Frare. From here, the route returns to Can Casades, passing by the car park of the restaurant L’Avet Blau.
The accessible route is circular and is 1.1 km in length.
Facilities and observations
The path is a circular route with an asphalt surface and a wooden footbridge that sets out from the Interpretation Centre. The entire circuit is bordered on both sides by a concrete railing and the footbridges have handrails on both sides.
The ground is even and free of holes and bumps.
Adaptive equipment can be borrowed free of charge: handcycles, third wheels to attach to wheelchairs and adapted dossiers on nature trails. This service can be requested on-site or in advance by filling out a loan form.
The Can Casades Information Centre provides visitors with leaflets in Braille on the natural park.
